![]() Re : Did you build all those isolated/bugged power conduits at the same time or were they built at different times? Different times, but none recent to the issue. ![]() Anyway, I will endeavor to make your life as a moderator easier rather than harder from now on. Without any PM or such I had no idea where it went. So when I looked in my profile the post was simply gone. One point of confusion is that you must have deleted my post and started a new one in your name. The good thing is that I live and learn and won't do it again. But like many things, the fix might not be as straightforward as it might seem, and might have a very low priority in relation to everything else above it. Last I heard it was on Tynan's list of known exploits (which he keeps secret), which means it is a known issue that in theory should get patched at some point. įinally, using reconnect as an instant on/off switch is an exploit (not a bug), and has been known about for a long time. So while it's helpful when players report bugs, it's additionally helpful when players report them in correct place, and that they follow the pinned reporting guidelines to help ensure that the required information to fix the bug is provided. Tynan appreciates players taking the time to both test and report bugs in the game, but if they are not reported in the correct place then they run the risk of falling through the net and getting missed. So if you have any extra info about that particular bug then please post it in that thread. Your previous post was likely deleted because of this, plus there is already an existing bug thread for that art description bug. And that any player encountering a bug in A18 should post them here, in the bugs forum, and NOT in the feedback thread. If you read the OP of the A18 feedback thread (and numerous posts by both Tynan and myself in that thread), it is specifically mentioned (on several occasions) that the feedback thread is NOT for bug reports. Were they normal as well or also displaying his bug? But how about any new additional power conduits that you built after reloading. Also, you said the power conduits went back to normal after you reloaded. (I've also slightly rearranged the post so that the text not related to the bug report is separated from the text that saulysw - Did you build all those isolated/bugged power conduits at the same time or were they built at different times? As it might be useful to establish if this bug occurred for just a single moment or was present throughout the playing session. Moderator's edit (Calahan) - This was incorrectly posted in the A18 feedback thread, so moving it to bugs where it belongs. Be kind, and know that the layout partly it is due to slow dug-out mountain expansion. As a bonus, you get to see some of my embarrassingly terrible base design. It is an exploit really, because a pawn isn't involved in powering it on and off. In a nutshell, it says "Could not resolve any root: art_description_root debugLable:BuriedCorpse"Īs an aside - am I the only one to use the "reconnect" feature as an instant god-like switch to power my turrets on/off? I toggle between the grid and a disconnected piece of wire. Off-Topic (and not related to this bug report)įirstly, I've tried a couple of times to report a bug I saw with the artwork description in A18 once, but either my posts are being deleted or not posting somehow. ![]() Loops in the circuit are not a problem are they? Note that the battery that was not charging is actually on the sections showing as continuous, but the whole thing seems to be borked anyway. A screenshot helps explain what I'm talking about here, I hope you can see it below. This was after some hours of play, it was ok for a long time. I saved, quit, relaunched and it all came up normal with working battery recharge. I noticed this because my battery was not charging but the solar/wind was going full bore. ![]() Last night I got a second issue in the latest build of A18 - a big section of my power grid fragmented into single unit lengths rather than being connected. ![]()
